Oyster Roast in Reedville, Virginia
The 29th annual Oyster Roast sponsored by the Reedsville Fishermen’s Museum takes place from 9 to 2 p.m. Saturday (November 10, 2018).
Tickets are a hefty $50, but Road Trips Foodies will get “all you can eat oysters, roasted and/or raw” — plus barbecue with all the fixings, chicken wings, hot dos, beer, wine, sodas, and water.
Of course, there’ll also be music and oyster-related items for sale.
The Reedville Fishermen’s Museum, 504 Main Street, Reedsville, Virginia, is dedicated to supporting educational, cultural, and recreational activities that improve the life of the area residents and visitors. The Museum’s mission is to acquire, document, interpret and display materials that are historically important to the lower Chesapeake Bay – with special emphasis on activities relating to Reedville fisheries and the lives of the region’s watermen – and to establish educational programs to interpret this maritime heritage.
