Mountain Mandarin Festival in California
The 25th annual Mountain Mandarin Festival takes place this weekend (November 16, 17, and 18, 2018) at the Gold Country Fairgrounds, 1273 High Street, Auburn, California.
The event, sponsored by the Mandarin Orange Education Foundary, marks the opening of Mandarin orange season in Placer County. Look for 16 local Mandarin vendors, food vendors, and more than 200 other vendors plus four stages of entertainment, pony rides, a petting zoo, and activities for kids. Just for adults: Mandarin libations in the Absolut Vodka Lounge.
Area Mandarin growers will be participating in a “Best Mandarin in Placer County” contest Sunday.
Hours on Friday are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is $4 for everyone. Saturday, hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is $8. Admission also is $8 Sunday when hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking each of the three days is $6.
