The Big Lobster is a tourist attraction located in the town of Kingston SE, South Australia, that opened in December 1979.
Known locally as “Larry the Lobster”,the steel and fiberglass sculpture of a spiny lobster stands almost 56 feet tall. No surprise: it was intended to attract attention to the attached restaurant and visitor center.
