A Gingerbread House . . . as Big as a Real House

Submitted by on November 25, 2018 – 8:14 amNo Comment

Gingerbread House, Fairmont, San Francisco, CaliforniaFor an unforgettable holiday meal, Road Trips Foodies, what could be better than to dine in a full-sized Gingerbread House?

There’s one at the Fairmont San Francisco, 950 Mason Street, San Francisco, California — open through January 1, 2019. It’s even larger than last year’s two-story-high Victorian manse.

The two-story, life-sized Gingerbread House is in the hotel’s lobby. This enormous and completely edible Gingerbread House stands more than 25 feet high, 35 feet wide, and 10 feet deep, and features more than 10,250 homemade gingerbread bricks, 1,650 pounds of candy, and 3,300 pounds of royal icing. Just wander into the lobby, and note that the house is taller than the hotel’s 23-foot Christmas tree.

New this year: guests can book the Gingerbread House for a private dining experience – whether it be holiday afternoon tea, festive dinner or a special occasion.

Gingerbread Holiday Tea seatings are available at 1 and 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through December 12, 2018, and Thursdays through Sundays December 13, 2018, through January 1, 2019.Christmas Decorations, Fairmont, San Francisco, California
