Apple Harvest Festival in Fortuna
The Apple Harvest Festival in Fortuna, California, is set for October 6 and 7, 2018.
The festival, first held in 1985, is a city-wide celebration of history, family and farms, with plenty of apple and cider tasting as well as other tasty foods.
The Apple Harvest Festival typically includes a downtown fair (with Main Street open only to pedestrians) pie sales, a barbecue, and live music at Rohner Park. When available, the complete schedule will be online.
Clendenen’s Cider Works will be hosting narrated tours through their apple orchard as well as offering Applewood BBQ, cider and a wide variety of apples. The Cider Works is open through January, with the picking season ending in late November or early December. Some 30 varieties of apples are grown at the farm.
