Brews, Booze & Bites at Tudor Place
Heritage food and drink are promised at Brews, Booze & Bites, a foodie festival set for 1 to 4 p.m. September 22, 2018, on the South Lawn of Tudor Place Historic House and Garden, 1644 31st Street NW, Georgetown, Washington DC.
There’ll also be outdoor music and traditional American lawn games, plus (most mysteriously) “ties to local history”.
“Purveyors of artisanal food” will be on hand to provide a menu of sips (for those with ID showing they’re 21 or older, who’ll also receive a keepsake tasting glass), and tastings for all in the historic garden. Guided tours of the edibles garden step off at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.
Food history and land use has been intertwined with the history of Tudor Place since 1805, when it was purchased by the Peter family as 8½ acres of farmland. Note that Brews, Booze & Bites is an outdoor event and will take place rain or shine.
Admission is $45 (with discounts for groups of six or more).
