Apples and Barbecue in Michigan
An Apple & BBQ Festival takes place Golden Township Park at Silver Lake Sand Dunes, 8453 West Silver Lake Road, Silver Lake, Michigan, September 14 and 15, 2018.
The festival — with Oceana County apples and Michigan BBQ — is held in the business district of Silver Lake Sand Dunes, six miles west of U.S. 31 at the Hart/Mears exit 149. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. September 14, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. September 15.
In addition to lots of food featuring apples (and barbecue), there’ll be a beer tent, craft show, classic auto & truck show, dune buggy show, and live entertainment. The complete schedule is online.
The apple pie contest is September 15.
This is a Kansas City Barbeque Society event, with both a Professional Competition and an amateur division.
