Apple Festival in Trimble County, Kentucky
The Trimble County Apple Festival is set for September 8 and 9, 2018, along the streets surrounding the courthouse in Bedford, Kentucky. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
More than 85 vendors will offer all sorts of wares (including handmade crafts and demonstrations), but what Road Trips Foodies want to know: what about the food? Look for apple pies, apple dumplings, and straight-up eating apples among the pork chops, elephant ears, homemade fudge and barbecue.
Judging for the apple pie contest takes place at 11 a.m. September 8 at the New Life Assembly of God Church on the courthouse square. Winners will be announced at 3 p.m.
A personal favorite: the Apple Cider Relay (you try running with a tray of cider-filled glasses!). It’s set for 3 p.m. September 9.
