Fête de la Gastronomie
The Fête de la Gastronomie is all about food and cooking. Taking place September 21, 22 and 23, 2018, it’s a time for the general public and food professionals to get together “to celebrate the unique, unifying, identity-creating elements of French culinary heritage”.
According to the organizers, the aim is to spotlight gastronomy in all its many and diverse forms and invite everyone, whether true foodies or just curious observers, to enjoy French gastronomy’s many treasures, wherever they may be. The problem is that the website is almost all in French. Your Road Trips Foodie can’t figure out exactly where this event will be held, although it appears to be in Bercy, a neighborhood in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, France. It appears to be a French government initiative.
If you’ll be in Paris in late September, and speak French, you might want to attend.
