¡Latin Food Fest! in Santa Monica
Road Trips Foodies in Southern California next weekend shouldn’t miss the ¡Latin Food Fest! This sixth annual Hispanic culinary celebration takes place at the Santa Monica Pier Beach March 23 and 24, 2018.
Friday night is a mercado from 7 to 11 p.m. — a multi-sensory street food meets night market experience featuring tastings from chefs, food companies, distillers and wineries. Admission includes cocktails, wine, beer, micheladas (a Mexican cerveza), and live music.
Saturday’s grand tasting is noon to 3 p.m. Foods include Venezuela Arepas, Salvadoran Pupusas, Cuban Ropa Vieja, Argentine Empanadas, Spanish Paella, Oaxacan Corn, Chilean Cebiche, Dominican Chicken Yora, Honduran Tapado Costeño, Brazilian Moqueca y mas.
If you can’t make it to Santa Monica, there will be two more chances. ¡Latin Food Fest! takes place in San Diego August 17 and 18, 2018, and in Irvine November 9 and 10, 2018.
