Wellington, Florida’s Bacon & Bourbon Fest
The Bacon & Bourbon Festival highlights that flavorful food — bacon — and the quintessential American liquor — bourbon. It takes place March 23, 24 and 25, 2018, on the grounds of the Village of Wellington Community Center and Amphitheater, 12150 Forest Hill Boulevard, Wellington, Florida.
However it’s best if you head to Free parking and shuttle service to event from The Mall at Wellington Green, 10300 Forest Hill Boulevard, Wellington, Florida, where there’ll be free parking and shuttle service to the event.
Hours are 4 to 10 p.m. March 23, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. March 24, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 25, 2018, and admission is free.
Road Trips Foodies should look for an expanded menu of bacon and pork related dished from the sublime (Forever Roasted Bourbon BBQ Pork & Bacon Sandwich) to the insane (Bacon Ice Cream Sundae, Bourbon and Caramel Sauce). There’ll be an eclectic selection of bourbon and whiskeys. The distiller’s art and technique will be shared in a series of seminars and tastings. And, the organizers say, “We may throw an Irish-made whiskey into the mix for ‘historical purposes’.”
