Lemon Festival in France

Fete du Citron, Menton, FranceThe 85th Fête du Citron takes place February 17 through March 7, 2018, in Menton, France, a town on the French Riviera adjacent to the Franco-Italian border.

Visit the Biovès Gardens to see enormous sculptures fashioned from nearly 15 tons of citrus fruit, each set in place one at a time. They’ll be lighted at night from 8:30 to 10:30 pm. February 17, 23 and March 2, 2018.

Citrus fruit floats parade from 2:30 to 4 p.m. along the Promenade du Soleil February 18, 25 and March 4, 2018. Nighttime parades are set for 9 to 10:15 p.m. February 22 and March 1, 2018 — and conclude with fireworks at 10:30 p.m.

Of course there are all sorts of subsidiary events — and this year’s theme is “Bollywood”, so there’ll be a distinctly Indian vibe. There’s more on the town’s tourism online.
