Ham Day takes place September 9, 2017, in Monesterio, Badajoz, Extremadura,Spain.
The festivity starts at 11 a.m. at the swimming pool grounds and municipal park in Monesterio. From that time onwards, visitors will have access to the various tasting stands where they can sample typical products such as Iberian ham, pork loin, shoulder, and so on.
The celebration will be rounded off by a Ham Slicing Competition and a seminar about this local delicacy.
While you’re there (or if you visit the village another time of the year) don’t miss the Museum of Ham.
