West Virginia Strawberry Festival

The next West Virginia Strawberry Festival takes place May 13 through 20, 2017, in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
The first strawberry fest was held in 1936. Now, strawberry growers from across the state participate (and there’s a Strawberry Auction the afternoon of May 19). According to the organizers, Americans eat an average of three and a half pounds of fresh strawberries a year.
Most importantly for Road Trips Foodies, there’ll be vendors selling “everything strawberry”. In addition, look for a horse & carriage parade, arts & crafts show, and a carnival.
