New Evening Tour in Florence for Eating Italy
Eating Italy has launched a second tour in Florence, Italy, that departs in the evening and takes visitors through the area of Santo Spirito. (The daytime tour explores the neighborhood of Oltrano.)
During the 3-1/2-hour “sunset tour“, guests will experience drinks and artisan foods at seven different stops. Highlights of the Florence Sunset Food Tour include shopping for groceries the Italian way at an alimentari (deli), watching how Italian cocktails are made (Americano, Negroni, Negroni Spagliato), and discovering the “secret” behind the famous Bistecca alla Fiorentina during a live cooking demonstration (plus sampling the steak afterward). Culinary delights range from truffle cheese and wild boar salami to Tuscany’s celebrated wine, Chianti.
Tours run Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30 to 9 p.m.; cost is €95 (adults only).
Eating Italy is part of Eating Europe Tours, founded in 2011 by American native, Kenny Dunn. Eating Europe Tours operates in Amsterdam, Florence, London, Rome, and Prague.
