Beer and Bourbon Celebrated in Virginia
Two tippling events are on the calendar this month in and around Charlottesville, Virginia.
First up is an IPA JamBEERee May 6, 2017, at the Hangar Park at Starr Hill Brewery, 5391 Three Notch’d Road, Crozet, Virginia. More than 25 Virginia brewers will be serving up a selection of 60-plus IPA-style beers alongside live music, local food, and games. Proceeds benefit Crozet Park. Tickets are available online.
One week later, the IX Art Park in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia, will be the location May 13, 2017, for the Know Good Beer and Bourbon Festival featuring beer made locally, regionally, and nationally – in addition to bourbon. General admission tickets entitle visitors to unlimited two to four-ounce samples of beer and ¼ to ½-ounce samples of bourbon. Local musicians and mobile food vendors also will be on site. Tickets are available online and, yes, last year the event sold out before opening.
