South Carolina’s Strawberry Festival
A Strawberry Festival is scheduled April 29 through May 6, 2017, at 345 North White Street, Fort Mill, South Carolina.
Most events take place on the weekend — between 4 and 10 p.m. May 5, 2017, and between 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. May 6, 2017.
However, if your focus is the red berries, Road Trips Foodies, consider arriving at 6 p.m. May 4, 2017, at the Field Trial Barn, 835 Springfield Parkway, Fort Mill, South Carolina, for the “Pick ‘n’ Flick”. Yes, you can pick your own strawberries (which are discount-priced that day) and stick around for a movie. This is a family-friendly evening, with cow train rides, games and vendors offering dessert and other food.
The Strawberry Cupcake Eating contest takes place at 2 p.m. May 6, but get there early: registration is 10 a.m. ’til noon. (You could start off that day with strawberry-topped pancakes, served from 8 to 11 a.m. in the National Ford High School Cafeteria.)
