Shrimp Fest on Florida’s NE Coast
The 54th annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival takes place May 5, 6 and 7, 2017 at Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, Florida. As the only territory in the U.S. under the dominion of eight flags during the past five centuries, Amelia Island absorbed much from each culture, and you can taste it in the cuisine.
There’s no admission charge, but there’ll be lots of seafood for sale, Road Trips Foodies. To be accepted into the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival, each food booth must be organized, staffed and run by a Nassau County, Florida, non-profit organization.
An art show is included, an antiques fair, live entertainment, and a kids’ zone not to mention an ice cream eating contest.
