Mango Madness in the Caribbean
A mad mango cocktail party, a live interactive mango special cooking class, a five-course mango dinner — these are some of the events scheduled during the Mango Madness Festival. It takes place June 27 through July 2, 2017, at Anse Chastanet Jade Mountain Resort on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.
Participants will tour the Organic Farm and see the many varieties of mango trees (not to mention other locally grown produce).
Also on tap are a mango mixology class. a leisurely meander through the Anse Mamin plantation (originally a sugarcane plantation in the 18th century), a class on how to cook with mangos with the Chef de Cuisine, and a lesson in how to preserve the exotic flavor of mango with spices in the age old tradition of chutney making.
