Looking for a European Wine Tour?
France, Italy and Portugal are destinations for fall wine tours offered by BKWine Tours. Two new destinations are featured: Piedmont, with wine and truffles, and Alentejo in Portugal. On the program are also two great classics: Bordeaux and the Douro Valley.
The first new destination is Piedmont, the wine region in northern Italy that produces wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco. The region is also famous for the white truffle: there’ll be special truffle lunch and a visit to the truffles market in Alba.
The other new destination is Alentejo, Portugal — a little bit east of Lisbon. This wine region is the country’s biggest wine producing region. Alentejo also has vast cork oak forests and well-preserved Roman temples.
All tours extend over four nights, Wednesday to Sunday, and include several winery visits, wine tastings and gourmet meals.
BKWine specializes in wine and gourmet travel, arranging some 30 wine tours each year, including those on the scheduled program as well as custom-made tours.
