Texas Oysterfest

It’s the 36th year for the Oysterfest held at Navigation Park on the waterfront of Fulton, Texas, March 2 through 5, 2017.
Look for lots of chances to taste oysters, including an oyster-eating contest plus the usual accoutrements of a small town festival: carnival rides, games, music and shopping.
The annual “salute to the bi-valve” is sponsored by the Fulton Volunteer Fire Department and the Town of Fulton. Proceeds from this year’s festival will be used to update current equipment and purchase additional protective gear for the firefighters — in fact, Oysterfest proceeds are the major source of funding for fire protection equipment in the community.
