Learn How to Brew Beer
Attention beer aficionados. Road Trips Foodies who’ll be anywhere near southwest Illinois at the end of this month might want to consider stopping by St. Nicholas Brewing Company in the historic St. Nicholas Hotel, 12 South Oak Street, Du Quoin, Illinois.
That’s because they’re holding an Interactive Brew Class from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. February 25, 2017.
Yes, you can Learn how to brew beer with head brewmaster James McCoy (pictured, at left), and assistant brewmaster Paul Plett. The fee of $40 includes the class, lunch, and a beer voucher for the beer you brewed.
Can’t make it to Du Quoin then? St. Nicholas offers tours on the first and third Saturdays of each month, beginning at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tours are $10 per person and include four tastings at the end of the tour and a St. Nick glass to take home.
