“Ticket to Taste” at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport
The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) invites the public to experience first-class dining at O’Hare International Airport on January 24, 2017, for the second annual “Ticket to Taste”.
It is a one-time opportunity for non-travelers to stroll through Terminal 5. No boarding pass required!
Ticket to Taste will take place in O’Hare’s International Terminal 5 from 5 to 9 p.m. Restaurants offering participating include Hub 51, R.J. Grunts Burgers & Fries and The Goddess and Grocer along with Tortas Frontera by Rick Bayless and Tocco.
Entertainment, cooking demonstrations, wine tasting, discounted special meal offerings and complimentary parking in the Terminal 5 lot will be made available to guests.
There is no fee to attend Ticket to Taste, but pre-registration is required. Spaces for last year’s event went very quickly — those interested should apply as soon as possible.

All registered guests will be pre-screened by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and will be required to show a valid, government issued, photo ID at the event check-in and at the passenger checkpoint. Guests will go through the same security screening process as passengers do prior to entering the secure side of the terminal.
Ticket to Taste will kick off the CDA’s Airport Restaurant Week, which runs from January 27 through February 4, 2017. No surprise: It coincides with Chicago Restaurant Week.
Airport Restaurant Week is a celebration of dining at O’Hare and Midway International Airports. It will feature live cooking demonstrations from renowned airport chefs, celebrity guest chefs, and college student chefs. Samplings, discounts and specially- featured selections from 150 airport food establishments will be offered during this 14-day event.
