The Olive Twist in Northeast Indiana

Indiana olive oil shopSome store names are so perfect that a Road Trips Foodie has to wonder why they haven’t been used before! The Olive Twist is one — a sly literary reference that doesn’t interfere with its core message.

The “olive oil & vinegar tasting bar” has two locations in the northeastern corner of the Hoosier state: 6410 West Jefferson Boulevard, Fort Wayne, and 115 North Main Street, Auburn.

Tasting? Well, yeah. How better to determine exactly which oil or vinegar suits your personal taste (or intended use). Turn up at the shop and you can taste some of the first-pressed extra virgin olive oils and flavor-fused balsamic vinegars.

Or, if you can plan ahead, check out the cooking classes on offer. Lori Berndt, co-owner of the Olive Twist, hosts Olive Oil 101 and Olive Oil Flight classes, too.
