SOBEWFF 2017
When a fest gets so famous it’s known by its acronym, a Road Trips Foodie knows it’s a “can’t miss” event. The South Beach Wine and Food Festival — or SOBEWFF to cognoscenti — is such a happening.
The next edition takes place February 22 through 26, 2017, and, of course, tickets are available online.
The complete listing of events is online, and it’s so massive it is hard to pick out the highlights. Paella & Tapas by the Pool? Tacos After Dark? Oyster Bash?
It’s a star-studded event. The list of personalities participating is enormous, ranging from Aaron (Brian) to zitzman (Pablo), and it includes marque names: Trisha Yearwood, Guy Fieri, Rachael Ray, Andrew Zimmern, Neil Patrick Harris, Marcus Samuelsson, Emeril Lagasse, Bobby Flay, Martha Stewart, Anthony Bourdain and more.
Hosted by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and Florida International University (FIU), the Festival benefits FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center. To date, the Festival has raised more than $24 million for the School.
