Well, Road Trips Foodies: what about embracing winter like a Winnipeger? Don your warmest woolies and dine in a temporary structure on the frozen river.
This is the fifth consecutive year for “RAW: almond Pop-Up Restaurant“. Dates are tomorrow (January 19, 2017) through February 13, 2017.
To celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, “RAW:almond” 2017 features an all-Canadian line-up. For your dining pleasure the frozen river will play host to chefs from near and afar, representing seven Canadian cities and 26 restaurants.
Several of the nights are already sold out (check here before you book your flight north). Psst — There’s no hint on the website about the origin of the name, or why “raw” is in all caps, but almond is lower case.
