A Five-Star Chocolate Extravaganza in Monaco
Road Trips Foodies who are chocoholics will love the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo’s Chocolate Bar – the first and only one of its kind along Monaco’s Côte d’Azur.
Think: trolleys of chocolate delights with perhaps a Cocoa Nib Infusion Tea (cacao bean peels and chocolate pieces). Or maybe a Choco-toffee Martini. Or a traditional hot chocolate topped with pistachio whipped cream.
Inaugurated by Chef Joël Robuchon last November, it places chocolate as the “fatal attraction” of your five o’clock tea. Working with Patrick Mesiano, pastry chef, and head barman, Mickaël Bellec, the trio has created all sorts of blends of flavors for a menu revolving around the cacao bean.
The hotel is offering a special promotion — Chocolate Dreams — through February 28, 2017. The winter package includes a 20% discount on accommodation (two-night minimum stay), American breakfast for two, a chocolate beverage for two and treat offered at the new Chocolate Lobby Bar.
