Food and Wine Festival in Tuscany
Attention Road Trips Foodies in Europe: The Boccaresca Food and Wine Festival is this weekend in Certaldo, Tuscany, Italy.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday (October 7 and 8) and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday (October 9).
Look for a marketplace plus restaurant specials, street food, wine tastings and even a kids’ area. Annamaria Tossani will conduct cooking classes.
The cuisines of Certaldo’s “twin cities” will be featured: Neuruppin (Germany), Kanramachi (Japan), Ripatransone and Cossignano (Marche Region) and the Republic of Senegal.
One highlight: the Compagnia del Drago Nero will present circus performances and parades of traditional Tuscan costumes. (There’s lots more information in Italian on the website.)
