Los Angeles Stages Roktoberfest 2016
Well, Road Trips Foodies: did you know that it’s been a half-millennium since the German beer purity law was enacted?
Reinheistsgebot is as good a reason as any to stage a beer-centric celebration, but there’s a second reason that Roktoberfest 2016 will take place the afternoon of October 22, 2016, in the Empire Arts Center, 695 South Santa Fe Avenue, Los Angeles, California.
That’s to honor the 708 years that Aktien Brauerei has been brewing beer in Kaufbeuren, Bavaria.
Two tasting sessions are planned that day, the first from noon to 3 p.m. and the second from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $7.08. Hell and Edel lagers and Rose beer will be served in collectible ABK beer steins.
The Empire Arts Center will be decorated as an old-style German beer garden, with staff wearing traditional Oktoberfest garb. Guests will enjoy performances by four bands.
