“Food is Art” at Indy’s Buckaroo Bash
A one-of-a-kind “Food is Art” competition has been added to the Buckaroo Bash, the annual fundraiser of the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, 500 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, now in its 18th year. Some of Indianapolis’s top chefs, caterers, and restaurants will battle it out to wow attendees with innovative samplings presented in an artistic manner.
It all begins at 7 p.m. Saturday (October 10, 2015). This year’s Bash also will feature an outdoor hog roast; brandy and cigar samplings, a larger-than-ever silent auction with electronic bidding and dessert “under the sails” along the Central Canal.
In keeping with the “How the West Was Won” theme, attendees are encouraged to step back in time and dress as a marshal, settler, cowboy, cowgirl, plainsman or saloon girl.
Proceeds from the Buckaroo Bash go toward educational programming at the Eiteljorg. Tickets are available online.
