Oregon’s Mount Angel Oktoberfest

The 50th annual Mount Angel Oktoberfest is this weekend: September 17 through 20, 2015.
All sorts of special events are planned, including performances from the von Trapp Family Singers, kids activities at the Extended Kindergarten area, a 50-year historical display of the festival (the largest of its kind in the Pacific Northwest), special beers, and the unveiling of the winning Mount Angel Oktoberfest smoked sausage.
Oktoberfest is celebrated throughout the downtown area of Mount Angel, Oregon, which lies approximately 40 miles south of Portland and 17 miles north of Salem.
