National Apple Harvest Festival in Pennsylvania
The National Apple Harvest Festival takes place at the South Mountain Fairgrounds, 615 Narrows Road,
Biglerville, Pennsylvania, during the first two full weekends in October (that’s October 3 and 4 plus October 10 and 11, 2015, this year).
For 51 years, the festival has offered hundreds of arts and crafts dealers, demonstrations, contests, food stands and entertainment (not to mention apples every which way).
Special attractions include the Apple Auditorium and Antique Cars, Steam Engine Displays, Orchard Tours, Petting Zoo, Craftsman Demonstrations, and Appearances by the state’s Apple Queen.
Note that it’s held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day — outdoors, rain or shine.
The fest was started by the Adams County Fruitgrowers Association.
