Road Trips Foodies can experience the traditional fall activity of making apple butter the old-fashioned way at Historic Forestville, 21899 County Road 119, Preston, Minnesota, October 17, 2015.
Apple Butter Day begins at 11 a.m. with boiling cider and apples in a 20 gallon copper pot and ends at 3 p.m. with sweet tasty homemade apple butter.
Guests can assist the staff in stirring the butter until it turns golden and adheres to the plate, marking the moment when it is ready for sampling.
