ZooBrew: Brookfield, Illinois
What could be more fun than bears and beers, lions and lagers, aardvarks and ales, Road Trips Foodies!
If your wanderings later this month take you on the western reaches of Chicago, consider a stop for the fourth annual ZooBrew August 21 and 22, 2015. It takes place on the East Mall of Brookfield Zoo, 3300 Golf Road, Brookfield, Illinois.
The beer-tasting event (21 and over, of course) features more than 80 beers, from Argus EZ Rider Pale Ale to Sierra Nevada Brewing Oktoberfest.
General admission tickets are $45, and include free parking, admission to the zoo from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., admission to the Zoo Brew tent from 5 to 9 p.m., a commemorative tasting glass and three ounce samplings of the 80+ beers (oh, there’s live music, too).
The Chicago Zoological Society is a private nonprofit organization that operates the AZA-accredited Brookfield Zoo on land owned by the Forest Preserves of Cook County.
