Attention chili aficionados. Road Trips Foodies planning a drive through South Carolina Memorial Day Weekend might want to schedule a stop at Fountain Inn, South Carolina, for the Palmetto State Chili Cookoff.
An International Chili Society-sanctioned event, the cookoff takes place May 23, 2015, at 102 Depot Street, Fountain Inn. It’s sponsored by the Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce.
The event will feature not only chili, but also arts & crafts vendors, a children’s area and musical entertainment. A set of eight tasting tickets, which includes a Peoples’ Choice ballot, is $5.
