It’s almost time to celebrate those brave green spears emerging from the earth. Yes, Road Trips Foodies: we’re talking about asparagus.
The 12th annual Asparagus Festival takes place May 15 and 16, 2015, in Empire, Michigan.
There’ll be lots of asparagus, including a recipe contest and (really?) asparagus beer. Not to mention a pig roast, music, parade and dancing plus an “Ode to Asparagus” poetry contest.
It’s sponsored by the Empire Chamber of Commerce.
