Azure Restaurant Opens at the Royal Hawaiian, Waikiki

The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort on Oahu, Hawaii, has opened Azure, a restaurant perched along the Waikiki beachfront under the hotel canopy. Named after the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, Azure, under the direction of Executive Chef Jon Matsubara, specializes in fresh island seafood, and features locally-caught fish. The Royal Hawaiian re-opened its doors January 20, 2009, after a multimillion dollar renovation of the 80-year-old icon. Set on 14 beachfront acres in Honolulu, the complex has 529 guest rooms, including 35 suites.
