The mango is the star attraction for two days each summer on Pine Island, Florida. Road Trips Foodies can sample locally-grown delicacies at MangoMania.
This annual affair set for July 18 and 19, 2015, celebrates all the tropical fruit grown on the island: lychee, carambola, longan, papaya, and “chocolate pudding fruit.” Fruit, exotic fruit trees, and fruit-related products are available for purchase.
The 2015 festival will take place at the Pineland Marina and also features live music, art and craft vendors, food and recipe contests, activities area for kids and a chance to meet the Mango Queen.
