Aside from chocolate, the taste treat Belgium’s best known for is beer.
Needless to say, the Belgian Beer Weekend is one of the biggest and most exciting beer festivals not only in Belgium, but in Europe (and that’s not only because it takes place in the middle of Brussels’ Grand Place — the majestic medieval main square).
Last year, there were 47 Belgian breweries serving up at least 350 different Belgian beers, so expect something similar September 4, 5 and 6, 2015. It’s sponsored by Belgian Brewers, one of the oldest professional associations in the world (almost all Belgian breweries belong to it).
