L’Aplec del Caragol (“The Snail Meet”) is a gastronomic festival featuring (what else?) snails set for May 29 through 31, 2015.
Held in Campos Elíseos Park in Lleida, Catalonia, Spain, the more than 200,000 visitors expected will consume some 12 tons of snails.
Of course, like all other small town festivities, there also will be music, fireworks and street entertainment across the three days.
