Ramp Dinner
If you’ve never cooked with ramps and you’ll be in West Virginia later this week, Road Trips Foodies, consider attending this event at the Mason-Dixon Historical Park, 79 Buckeye Road, Core, West Virginia.
A Ramp Dinner will be held in the park’s Red Barn from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m, April 18, 2015. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for ages 12 and under.
On the menu: Ramps, fried potatoes, soup beans, ham, salad, chicken ‘n noodles, sausage gravy, biscuits, applesauce, corn bread, deviled eggs, pickled eggs and cake. If you want your ramps in beer batter and deep-fried, add $5.
