From Cellar to Cellar in Velke Bilovice
The best time to become acquainted with the complex of wine cellars in South Moravia, where the streets are named for various popular grape varieties, is during the traditional spring “tasting stroll” through the cellars.
This hopping from cellar to cellar Is March 28, 2015. It first took place in Velké Bílovice, Czech Republic, in 2006 and not only did the number of visitors grow each year, but also the number of participating wine cellars and bottles consumed.
The ticket price includes a glass, map, catalog of winemakers, vouchers for six bottles of wine, and most importantly an all-day pass to try the wines in all the open cellars. (You’ll spend the evenings listening to folk music on the square.)
