ThanksSharing
Whether you’re traveling or at home on Thanksgiving, Road Trips Foodies, consider this: The second annual ThanksSharing is set for November 27, 2014.
It’s “hosted” by MealSharing.com, known as the “AirBnB of Home-Cooked Meals”. Here’s how it works for turkey day:
To host a ThanksSharing event, hosts simply create a meal on MealSharing.com specifying what they are making, how many people can come to their table and the optional “chip-in” price per person to help offset the cost of ingredients.
Need a place to celebrate Thanksgiving? Select ThanksSharing as the type of meal, and search for a dinner to join, whether you’re in Chicago or China.
ThanksSharing hosts can raise money for local food banks, and MealSharing.com will offer meal credits to hosts who open up their tables to guests for ThanksSharing.
MealSharing.com connects travelers and locals over home cooked meals with the goal to build more connected communities through home cooking.
