Boudin, Bourbon and Beer
Fifty (yes, 50) chefs are gathering in New Orleans, Louisiana, to help the Emeril Lagasse Foundation with “Boudin, Bourbon and Beer“. The fundraiser’s set to start at 6 p.m. Friday (November 7, 2014) in Champion’s Square.
Headliner? Boudin, of course. Co-chairs Emeril Lagasse and Donald Link (along with the other 48 chefs) will prepare and serve boudin, Louisiana’s artisanal sausage.
Beverages? Yeah: open bars of local craft beers, premium spirits and fine wines — including Buffalo Trace Bourbon, which your Road Trips Foodie had the good fortune to taste at the distillery in Lexington, Kentucky, late last month.
And, of course there’ll be entertainment. And cigars. And a silent auction. And event T-shirts to take home.
Tickets are available online.
This event benefits the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, which “seeks to inspire, mentor and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive and creative individuals”.
