Potato Festival

The 45th annual Nicholas County Potato Festival will be held September 12 and 13, 2014, in Summersville, West Virginia.
Of course, there’ll be potatoes on display and at auction, and, no doubt, many of the food vendors will be selling ’em. Road Trips Foodies may also want to participate in the mashed potato, tater tot or hot wing eating contests.
Also on tap are a pet pageant, Firemen’s Prade, amusement rides, craft vendors, car and tractor shows, sack race, spud hunt, Potato Idol Contest, Grand Parade, Farmer’s Market and entertainment.
