Cranberry Harvest Celebration
Ever wonder where cranberries come from? Road Trips Foodies can get right to the source at the Cranberry Harvest Celebration in Wareham, Massachusetts.
It’s held Columbus weekend — October 11 and 12, 2014 — by the A.D. Makepeace Company and co-sponsored by the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers’ Association and Ocean Spray Cranberries.
There’ll be bogside demonstrations and all sorts of cranberry-related activities including demonstrations of the wet cranberry harvest, cooking demos, arts & crafts, paddleboat rides on Tihonet Pond, food vendors and music.
Admission is $10, $5 for seniors and military; children under 7 are admitted free. Parking and shuttle transportation are free.
Can’t make it that weekend? Makepeace has Cranberry Harvest Bog Tours, open to the public, on September 27, October 18, 25 and 30, 2014. Register online.
