Hills Garlic Festival
Garlic lovers gather during the Hills Garlic Festival, held annually in the Kootenay Rockies village of New Denver, British Columbia, Canada.
Said to be one of the top 10 garlic festivals in the world, this one-day ode to the mighty bulb, set for September 7, 2014, tempts with crafts, soaps, jewelry, local produce and — you guessed it — plenty of garlic.
Sponsored by the Hills Recreation Society, the fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Centennial Park.
The theme is “Homegrown, Homemade, Organic” and all products offered are grown, produced, or crafted in Canada.
Note that there’s shuttle transportation from downtown New Denver to the festival site.
