Wein, Stein & Barrel
As you might expect, Road Trips Foodies, Wine, Stein & Barrel revolves around tasting wines, craft brews and bourbon/whiskeys. It’s a new event set for 6 to 9 p.m. June 21, 2014, on the Ohio Riverfront at Madison, Indiana.
There’ll be the opportunity to sample a wide variety of regional vintages, styles of craft brews and bourbons/whiskeys. Find a favorite, purchase a glass and settle in to enjoy local music and the great view.
Appetizers will be served on the half hour and each will be different. Guests will also find plenty of munchies on the tables.
General admission is $40, which includes 20 tasting tickets a commemorative tasting glass, appetizers and music.
Participating Indiana wineries are, Ertel Cellars, Batesville; Ridge Winery, Switzerland County; Holtkamp Winery, New Alsace; Lanthier Winery, Thomas Family Winery, and Madison Vineyards, all of Madison.
Hoosier craft beers available for tasting are from Sun King Brewery, Indianapolis; Quaff On, Brown County and Upland Brewery, Bloomington.
Bourbon and whiskey tastings include selections from Indiana Whiskey Co., South Bend; New Holland Brewing, Holland, Michigan, and Angel’s Envy, Louisville, Kentucky.
