Three “I” Chili Cook-Off

Road Trips Foodies from the Midwest know exactly what “I’s” this means. Yep: cooks from Illinois, Indiana and Iowa will compete in the Three “I” Chili Cook-Off set to begin at 1 p.m. May 31, 2014, in the Palos Park Recreation Center, 8901 West 123rd Street, Palos Park, Illinois.
Saturday’s cookoff is a Chili Appreciation Society International regional championship event.
Of course, an event this good requires an encore. The next day, June 1, 2014, is the “morning after” chili cookoff. Awards will go to the top ten chili cooks and to the top three for showmanship.
Public tastings begin at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, and 12:15 p.m. Sunday.
