Giro d’Italia Wine Festival
The Giro d’Italia Wine Festival runs for two months, Road Trips Foodies — that’s plenty of time to schedule a trip to the Windy City.
Geja’s Café, 340 West Armitage Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, kicks off the fest May 5, 2014, Vietti & Scavino Winemaker Dinner. It begins at 6:30 p.m. with a four-course dinner, each course paired with the appropriate wine, followed by a Q&A with the winemaker’s representative.
Vietti wines come from Castiglione Falletto vineyards, located in the heart of the Barolo zone. Scavino is also located in Castiglione Falletto, one of the 11 communes of the Barolo appellation in the Langhe hills of Italy.
The next winemaker’s dinner will be June 2, 2014.
Throughout May and June, Geja’s wine list will feature an extended selection of Italian wines available both by the glass and the bottle.
